Jabphone
|
Jabphone (beta!) allows you to call your friends on the phone and to send SMS messages to their mobiles, anywhere in the world, using the Jabber Instant Messaging system.
Thanks for you interest in Jabphone but the experiment is now over. Please send any inquiries to info ? jabphone.com
That's it! You are now ready to place a call. Whenever you feel like talking to someone, double-click Mr. Jabphone's name in your contact list and chat him "call" followed by the phone number you want to reach. For example,
to call someone in New York: call 1 212 555-1212
to call someone in Moscow: call 7 495 555-1212
|
To send a SMS message to a mobile phone, double-click Mr. Jabphone's name in your contact list and chat him "sms" followed by the phone number and the message you want to send. For example,
to SMS someone in San Francisco:
sms 14155551212 Sorry, I'll be late. See you later!
|
|
Every new account is credited with approximately 15 minutes of free calling time or 3 SMS messages (when calling/sending to the USA - calling time/SMS rates vary depending on communication rates to the called region). After you've used up your free calling time, you can add credits to your account (we accept major credit cards through PayPal). To do so, simply chat "help" to Mr. Jabphone and follow the secure link under "buy credits".
